Haute Couture Fall / Winter 2012-2013

Haute Couture week is wrapping up in the City of Lights this week and my week's highlight was to check out these shows every morning. Couture is a beautiful and glamorous playground for designers and the very limited number of women who can really afford them (around 4000 women in the world)..for the rest of us it is just a fantasy and a visual extravaganza but it is always very inspiring and affirming of our passion for fashion.

Red Glamour

Fall '11 seems so far away to many of us but the fashion world is already over with fall and the designers are working on the next season. Fall 2011 has many trends such as graphic art, high shine looks, lace, polka dots, tailored and lady like 60’s looks, peplum skirts & jackets, red and lots of fur. And if all these need to be explained with one word it would be GLAMOUR. It will be a very glamorous season and seems like that luxury is back since we are leaving a recession behind.

Many designers used the crimson tones in monochromatic looks in their fall collections. I picked some of my favorite reds. I sooo want a red fur, it is über chic and glamorous.
