SF Opera Opening Night 2012

I could finally sit down and write a blog post after months of craziness. Believe me I have all the good excuses including my pregnancy (I still can't believe that either but 24 weeks as of today :) ), work changes and travel.. I am happy and healthy, I guess that matters the most at the end..

Anyways I wanted to share some pictures from the glamorous Opera opening night that took place in SF in early September! It was little challenging for me to pick a gown this year after gaining some weight because of my pregnancy but I found the right dress at the end and felt beautiful in it!
As usual it was a night of high fashion, glam and opera with a very romantic setting.. Attending these events reminds me that fairy tales exist..

Enjoy some pictures from the beautiful night. Pictures are from Drew Altizer photography!

San Francisco International Film Festival

Last weekend I was working at a fantastic event which was a first in SF. The fashion film festival night involved of more then 30 short films submitted from all over the world (each film was 1-5 minutes long) with an avant garde fashion installation in between screenings. It was a night of uber cool fashion cine photography and expression of creative minds.
First year was a big success with a fabulous response from our artsy city and I was so proud to be a part of it!!

Enjoy my pictures from the backstage!

Haute Couture Fall / Winter 2012-2013

Haute Couture week is wrapping up in the City of Lights this week and my week's highlight was to check out these shows every morning. Couture is a beautiful and glamorous playground for designers and the very limited number of women who can really afford them (around 4000 women in the world)..for the rest of us it is just a fantasy and a visual extravaganza but it is always very inspiring and affirming of our passion for fashion.

Let the day dreaming begin with my favorite looks from the collections!

Raf Simons did not disappoint on his first collection for Dior- cigarette pants are the new skirts!Love this look!

More Fashion Shows..

Late May and early June were busy with more fashion shows. Rocks off the catwalk was a fundraiser for Dismiss to Cancer society and had many celebrities supporting it. British singer Daniel Bedingfield, ABC series celebrity dentist  Bill Dorfman, singer Delon and football players from 49ers and Oakland Raiders were all there for a good cause. I did have a chance to meet & mingle with them as well as work on the last minute styling for the fashion show.
The very next day another exciting fashion show took place at deYoung Museum called Dandy-licious with a Dandy theme. Dandy means a gentleman (I mean a real gentleman) who places particular importance upon physical appearance. And dandy fashion involves lots of tailored looks with traditional accessories like bow ties, pocket squares, hats and such. Daniel Sudar and Dark Garden Corsetry showcased their dandy looks and I styled all Daniel's looks. It was a lot of fun and we got great feedback from the guests.

Enjoy the pictures from both shows!
