A Very Fashionable Affair - San Francisco Ballet Gala

I love attending the Galas in the city because they are magical evenings of arts and fashion.
I was at the La Belle Epoque themed 2011 Ballet Opening Night Gala last month. It was a very fashionable affair with guests in their designer gowns and tuxedos and expensive jewelry.
A-line gowns with big skirts with lots of feather and tulle details set the fashion tone for the evening. Flowy and romantic silk & chiffon dresses, ruffles, gowns with long trains were the choices for many stylish women.
It was a wide range of colors from bright red, navy, gold, green, to soft pastels and blush.

Besides the fashion it was a beautiful night with an elegant dinner, a very Parisian setting, and an amazing ballet performance. Ballerinas and ballets, in their very muscular and lean bodies, were executing perfectionism during the ballet. Their graceful moves like they are flying on stage was very dreamy. After the performance we came back to the City Hall for lots and lots of dessert, cocktails and dancing.
At the end of the night I was tired and ready to go to sleep having had my fairy tale.
